Green Revolution recently delivered a full renewable energy upgrade for a homeowner in Silverstone, Northamptonshire, replacing a traditional gas boiler with a fully integrated, low-carbon heating and power system.
The installation included a 14kW Samsung air-source heat pump, a 250-litre hot-water cylinder, 14 x 470W all-black DMEG PV solar panels (6.58kW total output), a compatible inverter, and a 10kW Dyness battery storage system. Together, these technologies significantly reduce heating costs, lower electricity bills, and minimise carbon emissions.
The Objective
The homeowner wanted to eliminate gas heating, improve efficiency, and protect their property from rising energy prices. The goal was to create a future-proof system that combined renewable heating with solar generation and battery storage for maximum savings and energy independence.
Air Source Heat Pump Installation
We installed a 14kW Samsung air source heat pump to meet the property’s heating demands. Heat pumps extract heat from the outside air and convert it into energy for heating and hot water, operating efficiently even in colder UK conditions.
The system includes a 250-litre hot water cylinder, ensuring reliable daily hot water. By removing the gas boiler, the property now benefits from low-carbon, electrified heating aligned with the UK’s sustainability goals.
Solar PV and Battery Storage
To further reduce grid reliance, we installed 14 high-performance solar panels generating 6.58 kW of renewable electricity. The solar system supports household appliances and helps power the heat pump during daylight hours.
